This converter is ranked #1 in our comparison of free PDF to Word converter tools (i.e. out of 16 converters, it is #1).

An excellent converter for Windows that provides a technically excellent conversion in every way, and does not require that you upload your files online or have internet access. Simply excellent.

Strengths: Simple and straightforward; drag and drop and convert. Excellent handling of various elements (text/images/and tables). Renders actual not simulated tables. No security converns or size restrictions (being a desktop program).
Weaknesses: Can sometimes combine disparate images together as one in some documents. Installer bundles crapware (toolbars and such) – but these can be disabled during the installation process. Does not offer OCR — which isn't really a weakness as OCR is rare in free converters.
