Do you enjoy creating your own works of art? Do you like the Pop Art movement? If you said yes to these questions then Pop Art Studio Online could be for you. It allows you to take any ordinary photograph or other image file and instantly and easily convert it to a ‘pop art’ version based on your choices. And, of course, it is completely free to use!

Pop Art Studio Online is just what it sounds like: an online resource that will let you take your photos and images to the next Warhol level. It offers different pop art inspired ‘filters’ you can apply to your images, each with its own feel and color scheme. It allows you to experiment with different styles until you find the one that works for you.

Among the different options and features in Pop Art Studio Online, you’ll find such things as famous name based filters like Warhol and Lichtenstein as well as numerous more modern filters (like the Obama Hope style filter) that still fit the bill for “pop” art. There are also a number of ‘effect’ filters that, rather than retouching the entire image to a new concept, will just add or remove certain effects and bits. For example, one of the most fun and easy to use effects available is the “Flag” effect. This one will take your photo and surround its edges with a filled in flag effect of your choice (whatever nationality you desire) all in just a couple of clicks

Each effect or filter has its own different options like scale, depth and strength of change so you can tweak and fiddle until it is just right for the vision you want to make. Once you have set the image to look how you want it, you’ve got a couple options for how you want to save or export it, but the thing to note here is that using the free version will have a vague watermark on it that shows the free studio’s name. However, this can be removed with even something as simple as MS Paint by those who know what they are doing. For that reason, I would recommend this program for more intermediate or advanced users that just want a quick method of applying various filters without going through a lot of muss and fuss in multiple programs that have a high learning curve. As you can see from the example image I have placed here, the watermark is hardly noticeable anyway. Once you generate the full sized image using the Generate Large Image button you can right click on the image and save it to your computer anywhere you want.

While Pop Art Studio Online is better for the more advanced user, I would still recommend it for nearly anyone who has an interest in pop art culture to see what they can accomplish with just a few clicks. It can also be a great gateway to the world of photo quality filters and even an educational tool. The watermarks embedded in the end result would be the only real downside I found to it. Until next time, my friends.
